Russell operated as a Financial Adviser in the Risk Insurance market from February 1971 until his retirement as an Adviser on 30 June 2010.

He qualified for the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table in 1972 and attended his first MDRT meeting in 1973. In 2012, he attained 40 year membership within that organisation. He is a Life Member of MDRT, a member of the MDRT Honour Roll, and has spoken at 3 MDRT meetings on the subject of Business Insurance, as well as the 2009 MDRT Meeting where he and his son, Matthew, did a joint presentation on the subject of “Succession Planning”. He also presented at the 2013 MDRT meeting in Philadelphia on the topic of ‘ getting back to basics’.

In June this year Russell presented a further session on Business Insurance at the MDRT meeting in Vancouver. No other Australian has spoken at more MDRT meetings than Russell Collins.

Continuing Professional Development points

CPD points are awarded for various educational activities undertaken each year by financial adviser’s e.g seminars, conferences, etc. Currently, most advisers are required to acquire at least 40 points per annum.

These points are available to anyone in the industry, any time now. But I, personally, have approval for these CPD points to be awarded.
